Here is a sketch of globular cluster M3 that I did on the night of April 13, 2019. I spent 45 minutes observing, sketching, and taking notes on this object. I used my 8" SCT and a Vixen 8-24mm zoom eyepiece. This image was sketched with the 24mm eyepiece. I sketched the image on a riteintherain blank notebook, a 2H and a 4B pencil, and a blending stump. I then took a picture of my sketch and inverted, and cleaned up the sketch in GIMP. I still have some practicing to do to get better at sketching celestial objects, and editing them in GIMP. This is my first sketch since 2012.
